We’re taking Lou-Voat to Bangkok: gilded temples, river sunsets, street-food stops and market finds. This is our shared home for the plan and everything we need before we go.
The trip begins with an airport meet-up in Cebu on 5 January. We land in Bangkok on 6 January, explore at a comfortable pace, and aim to fly home on 11 January.

Keep it flexible. Attraction tickets, opening hours, meeting points and any paid tours will be confirmed before the trip. Chatuchak is on Saturday; arrival day stays light.

Time-zone check: Cebu is one hour ahead of Bangkok. The outbound’s 02:35 → 05:35 is a four-hour flight.
Bags: No free checked baggage on the retrieved tickets. Current 5J guidance gives one carry-on + one personal item, combined 10 kg, for departures from 15 September 2026. An older group PDF still says 7 kg; recheck each booking. Airline guidance ↗
Return fare: US$212 per adult, one-way, in the live search on 7 October 2026, with carry-on and no checked baggage. Final price and seats for the whole group may differ. Same airline does not automatically mean cheaper.

A four-star base steps from National Stadium BTS, with a rooftop pool, fitness centre, Wi-Fi and air-conditioned rooms. MBK and Siam’s shops are close by.
Ask the hotel about luggage storage and early check-in. Guaranteed access on arrival may require a room booked from 5 January and advance notice of the overnight arrival. Our proposed return means checking out around 02:15 on 11 January.

Thai embassy guidance calls for more than six months’ passport validity on entry. With our 6 January arrival, aim for an expiry after 6 July 2027.
Eligible Philippine passport tourists currently have a visa exemption for stays of up to 30 days. Check the rules for your own nationality and travel document again before January.

Complete the arrival card through Thailand’s Immigration Bureau within the official three-day arrival window. Follow the live form’s eligible dates for your actual arrival. Have your passport, flight and hotel address ready, then save the QR confirmation.
The TDAC is an arrival form, not a visa. Entry remains subject to immigration checks.
The official system is free. Eligible departing Filipino passengers and arriving passengers register within 72 hours of the relevant Philippine departure or arrival. Save your QR confirmation and recheck the current requirements before travel.
Our airport is Don Mueang (DMK), not Suvarnabhumi (BKK). Arrange a group transfer once headcount and rooms are settled. Use BTS / MRT for city outings.
